Any news or info on the BC in Kiev? I know it's not a great place to be right now, but I've been offered an interview and I feel getting in to the BC would be good! (I might be wrong about that) I've applied to British Council centres in other places and never got shortlisted, which I'm assuming is due to my lack of CELTA (I have another TEFL, equivalent in every way but the BC seem a bit snobbish about this) They may be desperate for staff!
Any info or experiences would be great!

Thanks!

I don't work for BC, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but from my experience, BC, International House, Grade Education Center, and the London School of English are the top schools in Kyiv.

Good luck!

Just my opinion.

It seems more teachers are leaving than staying but the schools are still open and needing teachers so BC may hire you for Kiev even though they've passed you over elsewhere. It could be a way to get into BC and gain a recommendation for other schools for later on.

BTW, Kiev is peaceful now.

Would you mind if I asked which cert you have? I too have noticed that BC applications only have tick boxes for CELTA or Trinity CERTesol

I was talking to a student who recently left BC because the goups were too large. 16 students per group and different teachers each lesson. Can anyone confirm this?

I can't confirm the group sizes, but I have three adult students who left because BC charges twice what the two other legit English schools charge.
