After what happened with me in China I decided to write a blog about all the recruiting tricks of the trade and I was doing online research when I found this gem...

The surprise for me was that this China scam is not being run by Chinese people, but two huge U.K. operations run by the same owners. OnlineTEFL.com and i-to-i.com.
They are sending people to China to work as "intern teachers" on F & M visas and giving them real teaching jobs but calling them "probationary internships" so they can avoid pissed off clients for 90 days instead of 30 and so they can pay the teachers 50% of the normal salary! What an ingenius fraud. I wonder how many people fall for this?
I guess when you have been around a few years and have a glamorous website and a few fake reviews, people will believe anything you tell them. |
