The one in Jiangsu, not Zhejiang. I'm looking at an offer from a school there. Has anybody been there or have much info on the city? I'm currently in Shanghai and wondering about the contrast between here and a more provincial second or third tier city. |

Never been there - it's one of those cities in Jiangsu , like Nantong and Zhangjiagang, that are off the main train route (Shanghai to Nanjing), so not so easy to get to, and there's no particular reason to visit .
However, if you are in Shanghai , you could probably take the train to Suzhou or Wuxi , then get a coach (for two hours or so). Must be worth visiting if you are considering an offer.
If you live there, getting anywhere from Taizhou to travel is going to be inconvenient, if that is important to you. 5 hours by coach to Shanghai, probably !
I am in a smaller city in Jiangsu, and don't find the local people all that warm or friendly, compared to citizens in other provinces I have lived in. But you should find plenty of western imported foods in the supermarkets. |
