I was just curious if there are other boards out in cyberspace for foreigners in Japan. I know none could rival Dave's, but was just wondering if there are other boards to check when the posts on Dave's slow down.

What are your favorite boards to frequent?

kzjohn, thanks for those. I didn't know the gaijinpot forums lived on at a new location.

Another one is IThinkImLost.com, which is skewed more toward JET/ALT work, but also some general Japan-related content.

The choices are very slim. There are a few others but they aren't very worthwhile.

When GaijinPot was about to close, one of the members archived the forums and made a replacement board, Gaijinnot. Some of the posters from GP post on GN, but it has yet to get anywhere near GP's activity. Thankfully, GN doesn't seem to have as much trolling.

Didnt realise that gaijin not was a board thought it was just an archive. Gaijijn pot was funny.

Reddit has some very busy Japan boards, and is getting rather trolly (a little bit like gaijin pot was) but it is usually quite interesting.

Go for r/japan or r/japanlife or the circlejerk one for jokes

Thank you, all! I also thought gaijin not was only an archive, rather than an active board. Will certainly check some of these out!
