When processing iqama, sposnors keep your passport in the drawer of his desk for 3 months, not with the Jawasat/Immigration or Labor office.
They do need the passport page with your info, they can take a scanned color copy (of your passport page) that is btter than a b&W copy.
No government offices nor ministries would keep your IDs, as they deal with hundred of thousands of applications a day.
When issuing a exit/re-entry visa,
sponsors do not need your passport or iqama, and they can issue it on line by logging into the ministry website using their account name and ID, then drop down menu, choose the name of the employee ( your name) then issue " Exit/Re-entry" because they can see from your iqama and MOI website that there is money paid ( 200Rs?).
you can chek your own visa http://www.moi.gov.sa/wps/portal/moi/eservices/public/passports/er-status/!ut/p/b1/lZLLboMwEEW_pV_g8RuWBhLbxQ1Qgtp4U7GIIqSEbKp-f0PVLAKqXbyzdM-ckeYijw6CEE55Kih6R37sv4ZT_zlcx_48_b344Hmd2-SFYl13EshWsudclIkGdgscbgH44ykI8VDe-Vwrw6QDSJzmYJXpXtOGUlD0f_6A4IGvjMNgTWvqpMsItHjOVztTgIWyyFxVEabFSv-MB76WXyz4yEs1jRfgbJFRIDLib9buvxSE_JsYv2HB--9x5H57HNv_DfmggtHfQKhiP4FQh2ctWpYkGJhaEAw0sQmEo525Xo6oPY7o4s_b-0vtYIf69PQNlxEzPg!!/dl4/d5/L2dBISEvZ0FBIS9nQSEh/
When you pay the fees under your iqama , it will show like this.

the same rule applies to issuing a final visa that is free of charge and you nor yr sponsor needs to pay anything. He can just issue it, let you know when it's done ( oh it takes 1 minute) and you can print out by self. your sponsor can kindly print out and scan a copy to send it to you..
Iqama will most likely be surrendered at the airport to the immigration counter.
Basically, sponsors have no power to hold your passport or keep one of the IDs as a ransom or anything.
I like it when someone said " company policy" but their policy can not be against labor law.
I hope as teachers, you all will be more aware of the current laws so that you could help compatriots or counterparts. |
