I hadn't seen any of the Steve Martin PP remakes, and now I'm not sure I ever will LOL. Tastes can differ of course, but this seems to pale in comparison to the Sellers originals. My main thought though was who'd actually use a phrase like "I would like to buy a hamburger"? IME you just quickly ask something like "Can I have..." and then zip through your order. Simples!
