I will be a Math/Science teacher at a high school teaching the prep courses for those who want to study in North American/English universities. As of now, my math class and science class has 3 students in each and each class is 2x45minute periods (90 minutes).

What should I do with such small class sizes? I am not sure if I want to start teaching on the first day but at the same time, it's hard to think of things to do for 90 minutes.

Thanks

Let them ask you questions. If you can get them talking, this could go a long time. Then ask them questions about themselves, the city and the school. It's a good way to let you build rapport with your students early.

Yeah I am probably going to do this. But I dunno, I just don't think it will take 90 minutes with 3 students...

My experience is that small classes are harder to cope with than big classes.
With the big ones ie 60-odd students you can just expand your normal 40 student style and content.
With the smaller ones - well there is a limit to how restricted your presentation can be - and still be a 'class'.
Seems to me that a 'small group conversation' is how to style it.
