I'm interested to know how teacher's here do formative assessments with their students in KSA, what works well, do you use an LMS (anyone using moddle?), how do you manage/adapt curriculum outcomes with specific class learning issues? |

Do you mean Moodle?
KSU in Riyadh uses WebCT and Moodle in their foundation year.
KFUPM uses Blackboard as LMS. |

Yes Moodle. To what extent is it used? How do students like it? Any noticeable differences in student achievement, motivation, or over all engagement in class and course material?
How do you find using it for tracking progress, doing formative assessments? Do you find the ease with which this can be done facilitates a more adaptive approach to course design? eg: Re-teaching, re-testing, modifying outcomes, etc.
Thanks |

How do you formatively assess Saudi students without getting harassed for displeasing them with your additional tests and queries? The tests would be something that is different and would be troublesome for them. Good teaching does not work in Saudi Arabia it gets teachers in trouble thus the students don't have to think, work and learn, and never will have to. When you teach you put on a nice face say Salam Alikum and gently brush over the topics. |

I'm assuming from this that you've never taught in Saudi at all, right? |

Someone sat on their head and, like magic, it disappeared.
