Hello,
Just to ask for general ideas / sites that you have found useful for Aviation English - I'm mostly interested in Ground Personnel, but anything would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.... |

Sorry, can't recommend a site or book to you...only an experience.
I tutored a United Airlines ground crew mechanic a few years ago. He brought in his own material, mostly tech manuals and phrases he had heard and scrawled down to go over. He had me record many of the phrases and vocabulary so that he coud listen and practice later.
He also insisted that part of our class be outside, on the street, near loud traffic, which he thought would more closely resemble the noisy tarmac. |

no, but he did give me a couple of employee-priced tickets as a wedding gift when I took my fiancee home to Kanada to get married. |

^ I'm a google-aholic, I'll admit it. Try this engine:
http://www.google.com/advanced_search
note: the more words you enter into the search
box, the more refined the search result will be.
If you really want to narrow something down,
use the 'with the exact phrase' search option.
There's a sign on the wall above my computer:
"In Google We Trust; All Others Pay Cash." |
