I don't drink, so I don't have a clue. If you're staying at a hotel, ask reception; they'll know. There may be bar info posted on www.timeoutdubai.com/ as well.

A "speakeasy" is an illegal bar, such as those that flourished in the US during Prohibition. Didn't you learn that at College ?

Dear nickwils,

". . . . i'm from a country with an actual history . . . ."

Ah - which one are you from: Egypt, Iran (Persia), China, India, Greece,
Macedonia or Italy?

It's all relative, innit?

Regards,
John

Clearly a country of no dictionaries. What an odd remark.

It'd be a good title for a communicative textbook, though, wouldn't it?

SPEAK EASY

Grammar's a bit off, however. Very Happy But heck, who cares about that?

Ah, I should've figured someone would have thought of it.
