As you go in to approach the forehand drive, confirm that your shoulders are square on the ball. Bring the racket head back keeping the face perpendicular to the ground. After impact, follow through completely, allowing the forward momentum of the stroke to lift the strings diagonally upwards across the ball.
That should do it. |

While I will refrain from the humor in shmooj's style of posting, I simply have to ask...
What exactly do you want help on? Yours is probably the most general question I have ever seen. No background information. No goals. Nothing. Help us to help you. |

You don't need to waste time videotaping your favourite Korean soap operas; they are already on TV in Japan. I guess that is the kind of info you want........?! |

Hmmn -
Mine was a rushed message and a test. So apologies.
I'm interested in advice about how to get a good teaching job in a serious school that treats teachers and students fairly. None of your Novaesque factories for me please.
Also - which places to aim for. Kyoto and Kobe seem good - any other cool places?
And where to stay and how to live cheaply while I look around.
More specific stuff to follow.
Anything you wished you'd known at this stage in your move to Japan from South Korea?

If you speak Korean, get a Korean-Japanese dictionary or phrasebook as this will help you way more than one in English.
Make sure you cram up on Sino-Korean vocabulary then, mostly all you have to do is denasalise the sounds and you will end up with the Japanese.
You've got 24 hours left so this should be no problem. |
