Be warned. If coming to Saudi, choose any contracting company except SRACO!!! They continue to lie, break promises, not pay what you are owed, pay late - plus all the smaller annoying things - don't answer phone calls, ignore emails. Even getting something in writing means NOTHING!!!!!
HAKA isn't much better but most of the 'small' contracting companies seem good - Al Hoty, Al Falak etc. DO NOT COME TO SAUDI IF YOU ARE OFFERED A POSITION WITH SRACO!!! At your interview, you can refuse to come with SRACO! |

So, what's wrong with SRACO? I work for them here in Dhahran and I haven't had any trouble with them. |

Billings, are you working through SRACO ?
I got this PM from you yesterday !
"I'm a contractor (lots of problems with them) but: live in a large decent apartment, 3 paid flights a year, clear £7,500 or $12,000 per month. Maximum five hours a day (or paid overtime) and very often less! (Currently TWO hours a day). Problems - yes, but it's not all bad!" |

Just FYI, the P in PM stands for "private". Posting someone's PM publicly is bad form and continuing evidence that, in lieu of something useful to say on this forum, you are now so desperate to boost your post count that you have resorted to posting other people's content.
The OP has a point and it has been made here many times before. SRACO is by far the worst contracting company to work for. Chris P. Bacon has either not been here with them very long, no experience to compare with or has a brother in higher management.
Not heard of major problems with any of the other contracting companies listed for a long while. |

Etiquette ? That is a new one.
Is Sicklyman telling me that PMs have the inviolabilty of the Confessional ?
This guy is off his trolley. A common condition after spending some time in KSA.
Sicklyman has a strange view of things if he thinks I have boosting my number of posts as an objective.
I seek POPULAR ENLIGHTENMENT ! |

I have been with SRACO for a over a year and have had no major issues at all. In comparing them with other contractors that I've heard many negative things about -- JAL comes to mind -- SRACO is not so bad. |
