Hi,
Sorry, probably the wrong forum to be posting to, but don't have access to the other forums yet.
Can I pick some brains?
Would you usually use the phrase 'on the grounds' or 'in the grounds' when talking about land.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

It's "on." But you might want to post a sentence or two using the phrase to be sure that "on the grounds" is really the best phrase for your purpose. The circumstances in which it would be the best choice are somewhat limited. (You could also move this post to the General Forum for wider viewing among the grammarians.)
