Newbies in Oman might not know of the second hand book shop.

Stock (at the moment) is basic but if everyone trades the books they read on the plane in, variety will increase.

It's a good resource for readers.

Does Mike still own it? That place was a lifesaver back in the days before Kindle.

He moved to Dubai several years ago - it's owned by an Omani (the original sponsor I think) and the lady working there is Filipino.

It's a resource we still need now that the large Borders shop is gone.

About the time I left Oman, he had opened his UAE stores, but was still running the Oman store himself. The facebook page was put up in Jan, 2013, and still listed him as the owner.

He still has an agreement that the shops will accept books bought from the other but he sold the shop years ago to a Scottish couple (personal friends of mine) who sold it to the sponsor when they decided to move on.
