These guys seem to be moving into my home town. Sound a bit like Into. Has anyone had any dealings with them? Foundation course for school leavers with 4.5 IELTS. Replaces A Levels? Finish with a 5.5 IELTS to apply for a degree course in business or computing. Some universities already signed up. Course modules to pass with 40% pass rate.
Fast route to an English degree? |

OMG, last thing we need is another Into! I did a brief stint there and found it stank. The 'programme managers' were uninformed yes-men and lickspittles, full of their own crap. And some guys were teaching SEVEN hours per day - what a way to ensure the well-known 'Into quality'!
I'm not surprised that several decent universities have cut their ties with them, as they were causing damage to their reputation. Into's reputation, in contrast, is probably damaged beyond repair now, but as long as the punters keep coming through the door with their loaded pockets, the directors won't care a single bit.
BTW, what does NCC stand for - No Credible Courses? |

NCC were originally part of the National Computing Centre back in 1966. Today, NCC has a network of "accredited" partner centres in over 50 countries.
Currently, in the UK, they seem to be working closely with Bachelor degree courses at Greenwich University and the University of Wales, and Master degree courses at the University of Hertfordshire. I haven't heard of them expanding anywhere else....yet. |
