Would you be for or against one standard set of requirements to teach anywhere in China and any reason why you would be opposed? There is so much disparity and crazy laws in some Provinces like the 5 year limit, and some allow teachers to work on a marriage visa and others do not. Beijing is getting more strict and may impose their version of requirements everywhere. What do you think the trend will become and over what time period? |

The 'trend', as you put it, will be whatever the national / provincial authorities decide is a good idea at that time, and no amount of foreigners trying to second-guess what it is will find the answers.
You will know if, when, and where, it happens.
It's called 'going-with-the-flow', and after 17 years, you learn that it is the ONLY way to go.
Now, please, stop drowning the boards with all your 'what-ifs', and 'maýbe's' that are mostly based on second-hand hearsay and get a life. |

Easy Mike... Did you know that SAFEA have teacher feedback seminars twice a year and they actually do listen and submit reports. Of course, their priorities will always come first. But if the deportations continue to increase and their turnover of expat teachers doesn't improve, they may be forced to listen more to suggestions. And btw... this thread is the ONLY "what if" "maybe" post I have made. |
