My wife and I recently started work in Galicia. The pay is good but our employer only declares 15 of our 25 hours/week and the rest is cash in hand. Therefore, our social security contributions aren't as big as they could be. We are planning on living in Spain forever so we were wondering if anyone knows how much this will affect our state pension when we reach retirement age (another 30 or so years)?
Also, does anyone know any good private pensions companies in Spain that we can start making contributions with?
Any info would be appreciated,
Cheers. |

Your employer is fiddling the system to save him/herself money. |

Yes, I know. Seems like he is very tight. My main concern is whether we will still be entitled to a state pension in the future if we are still only declaring such few hours? One person told me you have to be working 40 hours a week to be entitled to any state pension but I haven't seen anything like that mentioned on the internet.
