Hi guys, it appears that Istanbul (understandably) takes up the bulk of posts on the forum. However, I'm considering looking for work in Izmir and was wanting to find out more first. Does anyone have any insight on living and teaching in Izmir? Are there plenty of jobs? What's the expat community like? I have a CELTA and 2 years teaching experience, what would my prospects be like?
Any help would be greatly appreciated |

Forget buster, apart from me, no one else who knows anything about what goes on here posts on Dave's, most of them are blissfully unaware of its existance, unless there is someone else out there I don't know about I intend to keep it that way!! |

Are you walking, speak English, standing upright and warm to the touch? If so, brilliant, you are a prime candidate and will find a job with ease. Might be a bit lonely though as the recent developments are not likely to stem the exodus of native speakers. |
