One of the blessings of living in KSA is the availability of this wonderful Ceylon Tea at every supermarket. REAL TEA, not the dust that is sold as leaf tea in Britain. The humblest Bengali street-sweeper would be appalled to experience what the deluded populace of these Offshore Islands now consume. The glories of Empire are clearly long gone !
My thanks to Andrew and Sue who conspired with Saint Nicholas to send me a tin ! |

If you think you have it bad, you should try to find decent tea in the US. It is no wonder that few Americans drink tea.

Countries in Southern Europe have a similar problem. Interesting to take a map of the world and differentiate between tea-drinkers and non-tea-drinkers.
Some countries seem very resistant !

"not the dust that is sold as leaf tea in Britain."
I thought English tea was the best tea in the world. No? |

Rabea tea is sold in bag and loose leaf forms by Amazon in the US.
I'm a major tea drinker and have had no problem getting darjeeling, oolong, honeybush, and assam teas in the US, either from a local international grocer or from Amazon. |

Remember I lived in the back of beyond until lately and have had to order my tea since I got back to the US. Although Tetley British Blend is drinkable (from the TATA company).

Following a recommendation from an Indian friend, I switched to Kanan Devan, another TATA brand. I filled my suitcase with boxes of it for my mother. |

Lipton should only be served to unwelcome guests. |

In the break room there was always Rabea and then Lipton. Thinking that Rabea was just the cheap stuff familiar to the Arabs, I always drank Lipton.
On another note, In Britain instant coffees are supposed to be pretty decent compared to the instant stuff you get in the USA. |

Oh just come out with it.
IN BRITAIN EVERYTHING IS BETTER... everything that is,
except for the state of your teeth. |

The World knows that it is a post-imperial hellhole. Only the inhabitants are still delusional and believe that it is a World Power with drinkable tea ! |
