|
|
Thanks in advance for your guidance and shared experiences..
I am working part time now, I will apply for benefits soon as I still qualify...
I have been told by two Japanese friends to say nothing about working part time when I go to hello work to apply, to improve my chances of a bigger benefit...
1) Do they check to see if you are currently working? If so, how? Is it just a questionnaire at the in-take interview? Or do they access any records / accounts? Gaijan card number or passport number (to check current employment)? Bank account information?
2) Will they ask to see my bank book at any point? (which would show I am receiving deposits into my account)
3) Are the benefits paid directly into my bank account via direct deposit? which would require me sharing my bank book, correct?
4) How are the benefits paid?
Regarding going into the Hello work office to job search and remain eligible for further benefits..
5) What is required of me on a regular basis?
I ask this because if I am working part time already, would I have a regular schedule to be accountable for at the hello work office? Do they say, come every Monday, for example? I will not be leaving japan or anything like that but if I have part time work and they expect me to come at anytime, that could be problematic.
How does this work? How lax are they about all this once you are up and running in the system?
6) What needs to be proven to continue to receive benefits? I read something about proving 2 job inquiries a week? or per benefit time period (every 2 weeks, every month)?
Any other tips, advice?
Thanks so much! |

People scam the system and get caught.
If you work regularly part-time you should say so.
Tell them your schedule so the know the day of the week you are free.
You go there once a month. |

I think you mean, people do not claim benefits, that were withheld by their company, from an insurance system based on actuary tables that guarantees the company that screwed you over, never loses money by the people who actually do claim benefits. that's what you meant to say but you worded it funny, like you work for the insurance company or shady esl company..
my part time schedule is not regular. in any case, I'll coordinate with them. thanks for the once a month nugget. I did not know that... |

No, there is real fraud where people work but pretend they do not.
Especially in Osaka. It was on NHK, a man with a Mercedes and lots of cash
got busted for fraud.
Money goes into your bank account.
Each month the amount can be different depending on how much you worked the previous month. You must provide the pay stubs from the employers.
You need to check which days of the month you actually worked.
Don't know how long you could get money.
I just got 4 months as I worked at a university for 5 years then could not get a job.
It depends on your situation. I provided a letter from my former employer.
The process sucks. Lots of waiting. The interview was easier than the paperwork. My Japanese spouse even screwed up the form once so I had to do it again, and one week I had to go twice.
You need to tell about a couple of schools that you had applied to each month.
In fact, if you get a good job you can get a bonus from Hello Work, so I have heard, but wonder if that is true. Maybe it used to be.
April is the busiest time. Mornings are more crowded too. |

not concerned about fraud. the insurance business is already, a fraud. for-profit. This wont change based on your examples... so I encourage individual people to profit, for any personal reason, in getting benefits..
thank you for the nuts and bolts about the process and your experience mitsui. very helpful... |
