Hi everyone

Did anyone else out there just lose ALL coverage/service with Omantel for at least 9 or so hours yesterday-- Nov. 17? My neighbors and I (in Muscat) had no service on our mobiles, landlines and obviously internet from about 2pm until nearly 11pm.

I've never seen this happen before with the entire network and just wondered if it was an issue for certain areas of coverage only, or if this happened to Omantel customers all over the entire country?

Thankful it's back, but that was a bit worrying...

Same here in Buraimi. So instead of surfing the internet at work........I talked with people. So strange.

Same thing happened down here in Salalah.

All internet and mobile services were down most of afternoon and well into the evening. Also, ATMs were out of service; so no cash, and no paying with credit cards due to the system being down. Lots of businesses closed early due to lack of customers.
