Hi Everyone,

I was just curious, as I was thinking about a surgery I got about three years ago.

It was an emergency surgery. Yes, I did have Korean health insurance at the time. I swiped my card and the bill was something like $2000. I ended up getting $1000 back when I was reimbursed.

Is that how things are supposed to work?

(I.e. I pay some money, but certainly not the full cost, of emergency surgeries). Or, was I entitled to more by my employer if I filed a claim.
