I've recently found myself doing a long-term sub job for an intermediate-level community ESL class with mostly Spanish-speakers and have found (no surprise!) that many students are struggling with the difference between the sounds in words like ship/sheep or rich/reach. As I usually teach at the college-preparatory level, I don't have many activities on hand to address that need. Any suggestions before I start sifting through the plethora of material on Google???

Thanks!!!

This,

http://www.eslmania.com/teacher/esl_teacher_talk/Pronunciation_Handbook.pdf

changed the way I teach pronunciation with amazing results. The gist is to turn the focus on the listener rather than the producer of the sound. Because usually its not that the student can't physically produce the sound, but that they think that they are producing it.

MotherF, it appears that you've posted an incorrect or dead link.
