Has anybody got any advice about getting the deposit of £500 back from Education Experts UK? Can Trading Standards help? Legal action? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

The advice about edufarts is accessible to everyone; via a simple search. More than likely how we ended up on this ESL corner of the net. So.. As for getting a refund I don't see it being an easy process, I actually think they'll declare bankruptcy! Whilst having £1000 ransomed by them.
The latest I hear is their 'subcontractor' lovetefl' have folded and are passing the smelly shit buck back to Edufarts!
It was a risk; never was a win, hopefully recover the losses after a few months! On to the next!
When I'm online ill post some pics of lovetefl email![/img] |

Did you withdraw your acceptance of employment? Or are you done with the visa process and want to ensure you're getting reimbursed? |

EduExpants have been haunting me for weeks. Somehow they've fished my CV and it's been a daily spam of emails, calls - to say 'congratulations - you've been shortlisted'. I briefly spoke to a member of their militia, only to realise they don't discuss anything until you meet them in their dungeons headquarters - London. You'd probably get shackled and forced to sign a contract - and teach somewhere near rub-al-khali (the empty quarter) - get paid in saudi lunch tokens - kabsah and laban. |

Why do people get involved with this outfit? Just look at their website for proof of their lack of professionalism:
Should I bring Saudi Riyals with me?
Yes. You should exchange cash or traveler’s checks prior to arriving to Saudi Arabia. We recommend bringing at least 400 Saudi Riyals, the equivalent of 100 $US, for incidental proposes. If more require more upon arrive, money can be withdrawn from any cash machine suing your ATM card. Credit cards (Visa and MasterCard) are accepted at most restaurants and shops as well.
There's plenty more of the same.... |

Amongst all this thread, what I don't get is whether the £500 was going to be reimbursed in KSA or was he expecting it here in UK.
1) Did he/she retract the application after the medical was done, in which case highly unlikely to get the money back.
2) If before the medical then highly foolish; only resort the 'small claims court'.
3) Why? |
