Has anyone worked in both Ho Chi Minh and China? How do they compare? |

Did you ask on the Vietnam forum too? Your question is really general though. It's like asking, "So, what's China like?" |

It's a bit difficult to compare a city to the whole of China but I've lived in HCMC and 2 fairly foreigner friendly cities in China. Can't say much only HCMC is more mental traffic wise (sea of motorbikes) and it rains a lot more. There's a better variety of food in China -more foreign restaurants. The Vietnamese people are more fun and easy going. |

I thought HCMC had lots of great food. Around the main backpacker area in District one there was a lot of good variety. Was there in 2004 for 5 months. Was good what you could get for 5 bucks or so. |
