Hmm... Based on "expert opinion"....

The most and least corrupt countries in the world
Reuters | 3 December 2014
Source: http://www.transparency.org/cpi2014/results

BERLIN (Reuters) - Berlin-based watchdog Transparency International published its Corruption Perceptions Index for 2014 on Wednesday.

Poorly equipped schools, counterfeit medicine and elections decided by money are just some of the consequences of public sector corruption. Bribes and backroom deals don’t just steal resources from the most vulnerable – they undermine justice and economic development, and destroy public trust in government and leaders.

Based on expert opinion from around the world, the Corruption Perceptions Index measures the perceived levels of public sector corruption worldwide, and it paints an alarming picture. Not one single country gets a perfect score and more than two-thirds score below 50, on a scale from 0 (highly corrupt) to 100 (very clean).

**25 least corrupt countries (in order of the "cleanest"):
Denmark
New Zealand
Finland
Sweden
Norway
Switzerland
Singapore
Netherlands
Luxembourg
Canada
Australia
Germany
Iceland
United Kingdom
Belgium
Japan
Barbados
Hong Kong
Ireland
United States
Chile
Uruguay
Austria
Bahamas
United Arab Emirates

**25 most corrupt countries (in order, starting with the worst):
Somalia
North Korea
Sudan
Afghanistan
South Sudan
Iraq
Turkmenistan
Uzbekistan
Libya
Eritrea
Yemen
Venezuela
Haiti
Guinea-Bissau
Angola
Syria
Burundi
Zimbabwe
Myanmar
Cambodia
Democratic Republic of Congo
Chad
Tajikistan
Republic of Congo
Paraguay
Central African Republic

I see Russia is ranked 136!! Laughing
From a Sovietologist eye, there must be a mistake of judgement from the "expert opinion", Russia should be after Angola? What do you think Comrade Sasha?

I am surprised that the Magic Kingdom (55) has improved from last year, and is much better than Oman (64)!! Also, here I think there is another mistake from the "expert opinion"? The Wasta in the Magic Kingdom still is high compared to Oman? Confused

Saudi Arabia a 55 ranking? There's obviously something wrong with that. I don't think there is any need to take the transparency listing seriously.
