Hi all,
You have probably had this question hundreds of times, but I am wondering what kind of position I can realistically expect to get in the UAE with the following experience and qualifications
1. Postgrad and graduate (non-education related)
2. CELTA
3. 3 years teaching experience
4. 4 years ELT editorial experience (probably not relevant right?)
In particular do I have a chance of getting any position with Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), which I have heard good things about, without a PGCE?
Many thanks for your time and help |

According to Teach Away's site, ADEC positions require a teaching license/certification---no way around it. Plus, your degree would have to be related to the subject you're licensed/certified to teach.
Given your unrelated degrees, your best bet for work in the region would be Saudi Arabia with a contracting company. Otherwise, look for ELT editing jobs in the UAE via sites like bayt.com and gulftalent.com. |

Abu Dhabi is the only Emirate to require teacher certification, no way around it. The other Emirates don't hold this requirement. |

"All private & public school teachers to be licensed"

Those school teacher jobs that don't require a license tend to target locals (expat residents and nationals) for those positions and not job seekers from abroad. |
