Hello guys, I'm writing to you because I'm seeking orientation about being an ESL teacher, I have a Bachelors Degree, previous experience teaching English, U.S citizen, and getting TESL certified at the moment. I got in contact with an agency a couple of months ago and first I was told that I was going to get housing, Z visa, hour paid, flight reimbursement, etc, the whole deal. But now they're telling me that they cant get me the Z visa because the government of china implemented an age requirement that stipulates that people born in the years 1987-present cant qualify for Z visa, only from the 1987 and back, and they told me that an M visa would be pretty much the same. I got in contact with an ESL teacher in china and he told that is a pretty common thing, that theirs a lot of people working with out a visa, but honestly I don't feel comfortable going over seas that way. I would really appreciate if you could tell me how much of this is true. Thank you very much for your help guys.
