I posted earlier about the many problems I faced at Disney English while working in Beijing.
I didn't mention at the time that I had sued Disney English because the case was still pending. Disney English subjected its employees and learners to air in the learning center that was so contaminated that it made people physically ill.
I made repeated requests for them to investigate and provide clean air. Finally, Disney English agreed to test the air.
After the test, several weeks went by. I made repeated requests to see the results, Disney English refused and in fact fired me.
As a result, I filed a lawsuit against them in the United States and they quickly settled out of court. I can only assume their lawyer convinced them to pull their heads out of their *****.
The point is: do not let your chinese employer bully or push you around.
If you cannot get satisfaction in China, pursue a lawsuit in your home country where the odds are probably much more in your favor.
If you would like specific info on how and where I sued Disney English, just let me know. |

Yes, I'm letting you know. Tell all. Like what was in the air? I'm thinking they burned mouse, duck any, erm,"Goofy" excrement to run the AC/Heating. Am I right?

I'd like to know the court, city and state, case number, and plaintiff and defendant's names.
Of course, you know you cannot just sue your Chinese employer in the US and expect a resolution. There's a little more to it than filing a case.
TIA |

Flashback:
"Won't some please think of the children" . . . ala, The Simpsons
The air is the air, you didn't leave for health reasons and invoke notice to resign. So, you sue in America ... yeah, that makes sense.
Looking for handout is all this proves. |

Yeah, I read the same Wikipedia page about Disney English. The plaintiffs sued for being required to work in a highly polluted environment.
One hand clap. |

MOD EDIT If you had been following previous threads, you'd understand that the air is not the air. The problem was the AC system inside of Disney English schools. It was the air they were providing. The case went to US courts because we all know (except you, of course, being congenitally stupid) such a case would have got nowhere in the Chinese system.
While I always appreciate a good Simpsons reference, yours makes no sense whatsoever - completely out of context. And why do you call it a 'flashback'? Don't you know what that word means? |

So what did you do with the ten million bucks? |
