Hi everyone- has anyone used or know any info about Greenheart Travel? I'm looking into their Volunteer program in Italy. I would like to do a program for a guarenteed placement in an actual school.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! |

Hello. I don't know if this is coming too late, but I just came across this site that has many reviews of Greenheart Travel. Most of them are good, so I don't know if that's because they are true or biased somehow.

Just be aware that it's only for 90 days - the maximum amount of time a non-EU citizen can be in the Schengen zone (google if you are not familiar) without an actual residence or work visa.
You'll need to leave the whole region for a full 90 days before returning, and expect to need to show your return ticket when you leave for Italy, or when you arrive in the EU at the first airport where you land.
If that's cool with you, it's probably all fine. |

Hello, ALP1210,
While I have not been a program participant with Greenheart Travel, I did have extended contact with them a couple of years ago involving communication by e-mail and phone. I found them to be responsive to my needs, helpful, prompt, and informative. They made no effort to whitewash the less attractive elements of their program, and responded cheerfully to somewhat quixotic questions I posed. When they were unable to provide specific information I requested, they took it upon themselves to find the answer and get back to me in a timely manner.
All in all, it was a positive experience; but, of course, they were still trying to recruit me at that point!

All I know is that in some countries they offer much lower salaries than they should. Make no mistake that they are a business. Haven't looked at anything in Italy from them. Big company that has been around a while so Im sure that the experience will be fine. |
