When your lessons are observed for professional development and quality control purposes, how are you graded?

Are you given a numerical grade? Letter grade? Met/Partially Met/Not Met grade? Needs Improvement/Acceptable/Outstanding?

Are you graded at all, or simply given a feedback session?

As many details as you're willing to provide is greatly appreciated, along with the type of institution at which you teach.

In my last job - at KFUPM and then on transfer to HBCC, we were assessed by students at the end of each semester.

Every single employer will be different... from no observations at all, to unpredictable drop-ins any minute of any class. I've never heard of giving grades. All I ever got was feedback which was never of any use that I saw.

Of much more interest (to me) was what the students put on their class end survey.

(My experience was university level)

The Saudis step in whenever they feel like it.

If that goes well and little to no "real" complaints from students,...you'll get your raise.
