I am being considered for a job with Intercom English, Chamberi area, Madrid. There are 2 interviews for the same job. I've had the first one, and the second one with a recruiting agency, and the second one will be with the company itself, via Skype.

Salary: 1200 euros for 20 hours, 1000 euros for 15 hours.

The job will involve lots of travelling to state schools to teach children and teenagers.
I have a few questions. What is it like to work there? Is it stimulating and fun? Is it stressful occasionally, but really rewarding from a teaching point of view? Or are there real problems, bitchy office politics, etc?
How much lesson prep do teachers do?
Last but not least, is 1200 euros enough to live on in Madrid? I assume shared accommodation and at least a little nightlife.

You assume correctly that shared accommodation will be necessary. You'll also need to supplement your salary with private classes if you want to live reasonably well.

You mentioned travelling to work. Any reputable employer will pay your travel expenses or provide a car. Be sure to raise the matter at the second interview.
