I am very interested in teaching in Indonesia in the near future. I will finish an MA in TESL this spring and would like to give it go over there. any advice on places and/or schools? I am also curious to learn more about university teaching. Thanks.. |

I reckon Bandung's a great place to live and work. Bukittinggi in Sumatra is really nice, but I don't know if there are any schools there. Check out the other threads for more stuff I and others have written on Indo schools. |

there's ads in the jakarta post for uni teaching though the money wouldn't be much. i reckon they'd pay on par with language schools, i.e. about up to 10 million a month without accomodation. with a masters you can go for a national school job that pays $1500 plus accomodation. |
