Have we ever asked/answered this one? Could be interesting.

I'm in an area where freshwater fish is readily available and extremely good:-)
Trout and pike, grilled vegetables, glass of wine - ideal.

Dear John

We have those too, but they are faux. And can be quite foul, sadly.
Reckon your 'real thing' is far better!

best,

I'm currently in the American Southwest, so after years of living in the Caribbean, I enjoy good Mexican food and, especially, guacamole.

While living in the Bahamas, my favorite dinner was fried chicken with peas and rice, conch fritters, and mac and cheese.

While living in the Dominican Republic, it was boiled dumplings and codfish.

Beijing--I'm on a jiaozi kick at the moment, doesn't matter what the filling is as long as the dough is thick and chewy, Northern style.

Warm regards,

Grilled fish, grilled with pomegranate sauce and lemon and served with araq (ouzo). It's nice to go out in the mountains and grill it over an open fire.
