Hello, everyone. About me, I am currently teaching in China, but not very unhappy here. China is not a bad place and there are a lot of positives, but I just feel out of my element here.
I am considering heading to Pachuca in the next several months. I have visited Pachuca a few times over the years, and it seems like the kind of place I would truly enjoy living. I't's a beautiful city with a safe-feeling vibe and friendly people.
Does anyone reading this forum know much about Pachuca? I guess I am interested in some info regarding ease of finding a decent job where I can teach adults and/or mature adolescents. What about finding privates? How much would I reasonably be able to charge? Also general info regarding housing rental costs, cost of living, etc.
About me, I speak advanced Spanish, conversationally fluent, have several years experience teaching mostly kids (but I am tired of dealing with kids) in Japan, South Korea, and now China, have a BS degree but no TEFL or CELTA certification, and am 50 years old in good health.
Thank you in advance for any replies. |

Hi there,
I actually don't have information to offer (sorry!), but I too am planning to relocate to Mexico in a few months and am looking for good potential cities to work in. Were you able to find out any more informaiton on the ESL situation in Pachuca? |

Hello, Canuck. Sorry, I haven't found out a lot about the EFL situation in Pachuca, but I can tell you it is a very nice city. I have been there several times to visit a friend that lives there. The people are friendly, seems very safe, has all the amenities such as several nice shopping malls, big stores like Walmart and Aurrera, tons of restaurants, cafes, etc. |
