Hoping for some ideas here as I am at a loss....My Uni English Majors are returning next week and I'm not sure what will work best for the first class. I've had the students before and the normal introductory stuff in my arsenal has already been used. I would like to have something for the first class that would get us off to a positive start.

Any others in this boat, or have been, that might have some suggestion?

What was the most exciting thing that happened to you?
How have you practiced your English communication skills during the vacation? Have the students share their techniques to the class.
