i'm wondering about the health exam. i'm epileptic but my siezures have been totally controlled by my medication for years. i'll need to get my medication in Taiwan though and am curious if this will effect my passing the health exam. what kind of exam is it? will this come up? is it a don't ask don't tell thing? does anyone have any advice for me about my situation?

They do ask. I don't know what happens if you answer yes.

Probably best not to say anything then. They do a height and weight test, x-ray, blood pressure, blood test, urine test, and sometimes a stool sample. Don't say and it will be alright. If you need to get medication, go to a different doctor, outside the hospital you have your check up, and explain your situation to him. Check with your doctor before you go, try to get more medication just in case, and see if he can write something down for you. Also it would be best to bring along a bilingual friend to help translate.
