HI all,
Can anybody give me the lowdown please on Hua Hin ?
What kind of place is it ?
What would be a minimum salary for the place ?
Are there lots of things to do there ?
Is it a nice place to live with easy access to the countryside ?
Thanks in advance |

Basically another Pattaya...with less action. Lot of retirees around....not cheap anymore. Teaching English Baht 30,000/Monthy average with few if anyother benefits...government schools everywhere...BUT they won't hire you if over 40 years old. Enjoy Thailand! |

Originally it became popular as a Thai tourist spot because the Thai royals vacationed there. I was there a few years ago and remember it being really loud at night with lots of bars and bar girls. Nice beaches.
Kind of depends what you are looking for. |

Lots of EFL teachers around....married with Thai wives....especially in nearby Cha-Am... which has cheap guest houses unlike Hua Hin which is real PRICEY these days and becoming more and more comparable to its eastern neighbour just across the Gulf of Thailand - Pat ta ya!!! |
