Hi Folks, I have tried googling the life out of finding information about working in Extremadura but there isn't much about on the 'net.
I have looked up schools in Caceres and there seems to be around 29 language schools in the city so there is a language learning industry in Caceres at least.
I also knew a fella going way back who lived in Caceres for five years or so and he said that it was great because not only was it the cheapest place in Spain and one could easily live on the wages but there was also 'plenty of work'.
Does anyone have any recent info they might like to share? Thanks in advance!! |

That's interesting. You will probably have to go to Caceres in person to check things out. I don't know what the market is like there, but it will have the advantage of not being so touristy as say, Granada. |

I had a friend who lived there long term albeit a few years ago and he said it was the cheapest place in Spain and that there was a lot of teaching work because like you said - there aren't many foreigners venturing out there. Mind you - it is a three hour bus ride from Madrid so it isn't surprising but I am looking forward to it in six weeks from now. |
