I'm thinking about which of the private language schools to apply to for work, ideally in Beijing or Shanghai.
Are any of the major players missing from the list below?
- Wall Street English
- English First
- Meten
- Web Education
- Longman Schools
- Shane English. |

First of all, define the word major. Some people are willing to work anywhere under any conditions, hmmmm.
So, what you're post is really, is asking for people to tell you where to find work? |

OP - ignore the above poster. Argumentative for the sake of arguing / never having anything useful to say = TROLL.
How many reincarnations now? |

Greetings,
You may also want to consider Hampson. I did some part time work for them when I was in Guangzhou. They are one-on-one lessons and you can use their material or do your own curriculum. They were hands off, paid on time (although the pay is not great for a full time gig) and plenty of free coffee, tea and bottled water. I know they have branches in Beijing, however, I don't know about Shanghai. By the way, I also interviewed with Meten for part time work. They pay they offered wasn't great (I am TESOL certified with an advanced degree and teaching license). Meten especially didn't seem to care about that.
Good Luck |

Some websites sell ad space for varying periods of time. Our school has a lifetime ad (which is cheaper in the long run) on one popular ESL website so you'll see an ad for this school whether or not they're hiring. The point being that a school constantly advertising isn't necessarily a bad sign (which is what I think was implied). |

As good as the franchisee.
I don't think you can generalise about EF in China. |
