Hello all, I stumbled upon this forum while looking up EFL, I am a military spouse in transition to Japan, I was told the only opportunity for me jobwise would be to teach English. I do not have any certification except a Bachelor's in Tourism. I also have a Master's in Business Admin (this was done online so I am not sure if this would be acceptable) I am looking for directions on how to go about applying for a teaching position. I would like to know if I should do a certification and what credible agencies I can find a position. I will be there for about 4 years.
TIA- any assistance is appreciated. |

Since you know you're definitely heading to Japan, I suggest you post your questions over on the Japan forum (http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewforum.php?f=11) for better exposure. Indicate in your post where you'll be stationed. |

Try to do a CELTA or a Trinity TESOL, these are the entry level qualifications for TEFL teaching (SIT if you're in USA is apparently also good) |
