As I recall, you expect to support your husband and two children on your salary alone. As a woman, you're limited to teaching in a university and won't get the type and level of benefits you need for your family. In other words, you're ineligible for those lucrative oil industry and government contracts that are open to male teachers. So unless you have a PhD in a subject area, forget KSA and look into teaching in the UAE if you want to work in this region.

Alrighty. There are threads discussing both of these universities; the OP can do a search. KSU seems to offer a lukewarm salary and bennies to direct hires. The most recent thread for KSAU-HS isn't very positive. As for which has the better deal, she'd really need to apply to find out what her qualifications/experience would get her. But... Confused

1.king saud university. Based in riyadh. Most if not all of there esl teachers work as subcontractors through edex iceat and others.
2. King saud bin Abdul aziz university for health Sciences is also based in riyadh but is run under the national guard. I have a friend there. It's a direct hire post, 2 months vacation $41,000-$60000 , plus they put you on a compound. Much better deal.

I would be very interested to read any any info on KSAU as my wife has been recruited by MD and starts in August.

I am a retired esl teacher and will be going with her. Can anyoe write a meaningful revoew of expat life in/on KSAU campus?

I am no stranger to the country having worked there twice before (on my own).

Will they be helping your wife sponsor you? Some female job seekers have posted that their prospective employers stated they couldn't bring their dependent spouse and children to live with them. See "Ministry of the Interior for the Saudi rule change" (http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewtopic.php?t=110328).
