Has anyone tested the NOC law with success? With the recent articles in the Oman Times it seems to be getting more difficult.

I know of one teacher down here in Salalah who was fortunate to have some wasta and successfully changed jobs between two of the colleges here.

Aside from this single story of success, every other attempt I've heard about made by teachers to change employers has been met with immediate rejection from the ministries.

We had two teachers successfully change to different jobs, but that was right as they started to enforce the NOC. Since then, no one that I know of has made it.

If both sponsors go to the Ministry at the same time, one to sign the employee off and the other to sign the employee in, it can be done.
