Hi
I've posted elsewhere about the frustration of teaching agencies, and Phoenix Gulf is another. Has anyone had any dealings with them ? I tried to submit some information to them via their site but it wouldn't go, so I called them (from the UK) and the recruiter told me to email her my c.v., so I did. Then she replied via another email address (a different female name) and told me to complete a registration form and return, so I did. Guess what - the email address I needed to reply to came back as "not found" !! So I replied to the email she'd given me right at the start. Ridculous.
To cap it all, there is one job on their site which I am interested in, but they never appear to respond to emails along the lines of, please can you submit my details for the job etc.
Makes me wanna give up ! |

Don't call it giving up. Call it beneath your dignity. If they are acting this ridiculous now, how's it going to be working for them? |

Who knows if the job that you are interested in even exists... or was long ago filled. Bait and switch is common. It is always best to apply directly to employers in the Gulf or to advertised positions from an employer... avoid recruiters or agencies.
VS
BTW... I see on another thread that you are applying for university level... never bother with an agency/recruiter at tertiary level. Always apply direct... normally through their website.

I agree, but if the recruiter does not reveal the employer then there is not much you can do. |

Don't waste your time with any of them... most are shady at best. They aren't going to tell because the job likely doesn't exist.
