Hello fellow teachers, I really need ur help.

I was asked by my boss to prepare 3 weeks summer lessons for kids. The things is those kids will be visiting our school ONLY for those lessons, different levels as we teach kids form 3 to 12.

She asked me to prepare the "content" for those lessons. I can guess that the level for prek1 will be really the basics (numbers, colours, etc) but for the rest of the students?

Can someone give me a helping hand? I have never done this before and my boss wants me to give her the content by sunday. The content will be given to parents so thy can decide whether to sign or not :-/

P.S. I teach in China

Thank you for any advise,
Michaela

If you're not being paid for this extra work tell your boss to shove it.

Well I wouldnt say that this is a question about money. This is a new school and I am still the only teacher here. We havent started teaching yet so I am happy to help with anything cause I have nothing much to do anyway.

I am only asking for an advise from people who has more experience than me, to help help me to put it together.

Find relevant coursebooks online (Kid's box, Family and Friends, Super Kids etc.) and use them as the content. Use the teacher's books from the mentioned titles to create lesson plans. Throw in a few games and you're done Wink

That's your summer school. Prepare lessons on the sports and countries that are involved.

Find some phonics material for the very young ones.

Include some task based activities for the older ones, making meals, presentations, posters etc.
