WTF—what the f--k—is now an entry in the Merriam-Webster dictionary.

As of last week, the editors of the dictionary added more than 1,700 entries including words like clickbait, meme and emoji. Merriam-Webster also updated existing entries with more than 700 new senses, added 3,200 examples that provide more contextual information and added another 200 new entries of most looked up words. "Some of the new entries are for terms you've heard of and some likely aren't," wrote the dictionary editors in a company blog. "We thought we'd offer you a sampling of both."

Scrabble recently also updated its board game dictionary and included words such as emoji, twerking, lolz and sexting.

These are some of the new entries in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary:
clickbait: Something, such as a headline, designed to make readers want to click on a hyperlink.
colossal squid: An extremely large squid in the deep waters of the Southern Ocean.
crema: A layer of creamy tan froth that forms on the top of freshly made espresso.
emoji: Any of various small images, icons used on instant text messages.
meme: An idea, behavior, image or style that spreads from person to person within a culture.
Net neutrality: The idea that Internet services providers should treat all Internet data as the same.
photobomb: To move into the frame of a photograph as it is being taken as a joke or a prank.
slendro: A pentatonic tuning employed for Javanese gamelans that divides the octave into five roughly similar intervals.
    WTF: What the f--k.
