It seems like it has been a while since there was a Mexico City get together, so was wondering if there was any interest in a trip to the pryamids on Friday June 19, or Saturday June 20. I´ll be in DF for a few days to show our apartment. If anyone is interested in buying an apartment, haha, let me know that too.

I might be interested. I've been taking courses on Mexican archaeology at the MNA the last couple of years, which included lots of information about Teotihuacán, and this would be a way to put it to good use.

Oh, too bad. I’ll be leaving for the annual summer trip just then, so I won’t be around. I’m glad you’re trying to organize this, though, because Guy, who has been our social convenor all these years, is soon moving away from the DF. If no one steps into his shoes, we defeños will never meet in person again!

Very Happy

Yep, one more month for me in DF. Can't make it to the pyramids that weekend I'm afraid.

Lately I've taken to facebook for social gatherings...there are some very active local groups there I'll suggest to y'all for educators in DF or foreigners in general.

Good place to sell apartments too. Wink

I'd love to join you but I'm working that weekend.

Where are you going Guy?

You've got that right! Tortas ahogadas are reason enough for moving to Guadalajara. Once you are settled maybe we can do a Guadalajara get together, my parents live there, and I try to make it to a couple of Chivas games a year! Good luck with the move.

That is quite unfortunate about being forced to attend Chivas games...I assume you always cheer for the opposing team to make the experience more palatable? Laughing

Sure, let me know when you're in town...I plan to run several get togethers there each year.

Dude. If I didn't like you so much I would slap you, haha. My father is an Atlas fan, so that can make for some interesting discussions.

I am looking at December right now, I try not to visit too much if I can help it.
