| There's a recent post on the jobs board for teachers at ITTU. I did "the usual research" - Google, ITTU website etc - and sent an app, but would like to hear from anyone with any FIRST-HAND experience of living and teaching in Turkmenistan. Don't tell me it's a dictatorship and strictly Muslim. I already know that. But DO tell me any personal experiences, good or bad. Thank you. |

It's a dictatorship, all right, but it's not strictly Muslim, it's secular.
Like the other Central Asian republics the regime is strongly opposed to Muslim fundamentalism. |
