I have left my job and will be out of the country soon enough, but during the past few weeks, while sitting around not working and waiting on paperwork I need for my next stop, I have found myself strangely attracted to this board.

Why do ex-KSA workers feel the need to check in and keep up with the goings on here? If we had a such a good time why did we leave? If we had a bad time, why don't we let go and move on? What is this strange fascination the KSA EFL world has for former participants?

So, what do you think? When should posters call it a day?

Why should the Café and newbies here be deprived of the wisdom accumulated by those who've spent time in KSA, however long past it may be? So long as they're willing to stick around, why not?

Just because it's over doesn't imply that it's irrelevant.

I vote: Whenever They Want to Quit

The same can be said for any other nation...not just KSA...

I left KSA when I was 64. Now 68. Why should there be a right time to quit ?

I still have a network of useful links and receive occasional bribes from the authorities for portraying KSA in a positive light. (Joke.)

Left Japan three years ago, and I still haunt those forums...I may be going back in a couple years. If Dave's continues, I may be haunting several forums down the line.

I left years ago, but it's one of those things that you can do just to tell yourself "things aren't that bad, after all", wherever you are.

I can appreciate the small things in life now: driving, going to the beach, swimming, going to the gym, not being harassed by desperate men, not being seen as a freak and so on; Oh! not having to hide inside a compound. The list goes on and on.

The answer is no. You don't get a forum where only those who fit in well (or push all the right buttons) use the forum.
