Do NOT consider teaching at this school. They are the most unethical and dishonest people I have ever worked for. They will send you a very vague contract that does say you can terminate early if you give them 30 days' written notice, but if you do they will sock you with additional visa charges that can take up to half your monthly salary or more. They make no mention of this in their contract and their recruiter will tell you the school will cover all visa and transportation fees, but watch how fast they try to penalize you if you decide you don't want to stay the full year. Then they will also forget to tell you that you cannot convert their "birr"into dollars or any other currency unless they give the bank their banking information. And if they do make an illegal deductions from your pay, they will not give you any documentation so you cannot file a claim with the Ministry of Labor. They have no shame and will even hold your passport and visa hostage until you agree to whatever deductions they want to make from your pay. This place is the WORST when it comes to actually teaching kids anything, it is just a big day care center that doctors the kids' grades to make them look like they are learning something, and they have absolutely no conscience when it comes to charging penalties to you if you dare to want to leave before the end of the year.Consider yourself warned!
